Meeting at Honey Baked Ham, 510 E. Green Meadow Road, for free ranging discussion about all things Parkinson's. Great opportunity for exchange of information and socialization.
Monthly meetings with anyone diagnosed with Parkinson's dementia or Lewy Body dementia and their caregiver. Open and frank discussion of the challenges we all experience. Also meets at Honey Baked Ham, 510 E. Green Meadows Road, Columbia.
Special events twice a year just for a "day out" social for caregivers. During COVID 19 pandemic we meet by ZOOM and still have a great time. Programs, tours, speakers, just an enjoyable day with others who care for loved ones with Parkinson's.
Led by a music therapist, this group meets every week from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm by ZOOM during COVID pandemic and when in-person, meet at Broadway Christian Church every other Tuesday to sing enthusiastically as voice therapy and swallowing therapy.
Nationally known program of non-contact boxing that strengthens endurance, muscle tone, balance and even voice. Variable meeting times and formats.
Group sessions provided free by MU Speech, Language and Hearing Services, and a weekly Loud Crowd session to maintain progress and strengthen voices.
Special sessions twice a year to find out more about accessing healthcare, caregiving assistance and benefits due you and your family through the Veterans Administration.
